Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the MyMacroMentor app. By downloading or using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Health disclaimer
MyMacroMentor provides nutrition information and calculated estimates. It does not provide medical advice. Our Health Disclaimer forms part of these terms and you should read it before using the app.
Who may use the app
You need to be at least 18 years old to use MyMacroMentor and to agree to these terms. It is built for adults in good general health who want to track what they eat; if that does not describe you, please read the Health Disclaimer before going further.
Your account
Give accurate information when you create an account, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and let us know promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under it.
Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use MyMacroMentor on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.
Please do not use the app in ways that harm it or others, including without limitation: copying, modifying, reverse engineering or attempting to extract its source code; reselling or redistributing it or any part of it; using automated means to access or scrape it; interfering with its operation or security; or using it for anything unlawful.
Your content
The content you enter — your meals, recipes, photos, weights and whatever else you record — remains yours. You give us permission to process it to run, support and improve the app for you — for example sending an image or a description you submit for analysis when you ask for an estimate. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Nutrition data and estimates
Food and nutrition information comes from public databases, such as USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts, and from automated estimation of the images and descriptions you submit. This information can be incomplete or wrong. Calorie and macro targets are estimates calculated from formulas and the information you provide. Treat all of it as a guide, and see the Health Disclaimer.
Estimates draw on a service we run, so an allowance applies. The free plan includes a set number of them; Premium raises or removes that limit. Fair-use limits may also apply to keep the service available to everyone. We may change these allowances from time to time. Where an allowance applies to you, the app tells you when you are close to it or have reached it.
Automated estimates and AI
Some features use artificial intelligence to produce estimates from what you submit, such as recognising a meal from a photo or reading a nutrition label. These features are provided as they are. Their output is an estimate, not medical, nutritional or professional advice, and it may be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for checking anything you rely on. These features are for food. Please keep to that — pictures of meals, labels and the things you eat — and keep other people, and documents about anyone's identity or health, out of what you send.
Our intellectual property
We own the app and everything in it that is not your content, including without limitation its software, design, text, graphics and the MyMacroMentor name and logo. Your licence to use the app does not give you any rights in these, and you agree not to adopt, register or trade under a name or logo close enough to ours to be mistaken for it.
Copyright
If you believe something in the app infringes a copyright you own or represent, write to us at info@mymacromentor.com with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears, and we will look into it. We may remove material we believe infringes.
Subscriptions and payment
MyMacroMentor's core features are free. Premium is a paid, auto-renewing subscription. It is sold and billed through the Apple App Store, so Apple's terms apply to the purchase and we never see your payment details.
Premium renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before that period ends, and a free trial, where one is offered, becomes a paid subscription the same way. Cancelling is done in your App Store account settings, where you can also see when a subscription renews, and the App Store's own timing rules apply. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. If we change prices, we will tell you before the change takes effect. We may correct errors in pricing or product information at any time.
App Store
You get MyMacroMentor through Apple's App Store, and Apple's own terms apply alongside these. Apple has no responsibility for the app or its content, and no obligation to provide support for it — if you need help, come to us. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they relate to your licence to use the app, and may enforce them against you.
Changes to the app
We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend or stop offering the app. We will give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can. Not all features are available in every place, and some depend on services that are not offered everywhere.
The app is provided "as is"
We provide MyMacroMentor as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any nutrition information or estimate is accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, 2563529 Alberta Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for MyMacroMentor in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify 2563529 Alberta Ltd. against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the app or your breach of these terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using MyMacroMentor at any time and delete your account in the app (Profile, then Delete account) or by emailing us. The Privacy Policy describes what deletion does to your information. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or use the app in a way that harms others or us.
If we have a dispute
Most problems can be sorted out quickly. Before starting any formal proceeding, please email info@mymacromentor.com with your name, how to reach you, what the dispute is about and what outcome you want. We will do the same if the dispute starts with us. Both of us agree to try to resolve it informally for 60 days from the day that notice is received.
If it is still unresolved after that, either of us may take it further. You may bring a claim in small claims court where you live, if it qualifies, and nothing in these terms stops you contacting a regulator or a consumer-protection authority.
Any claim is brought on your own behalf. Neither of us will bring a claim against the other as a class action, a representative action, or as part of a combined proceeding with other people, and neither of us will act as a class representative. Some places do not permit this, and where that is so this paragraph does not apply to you and the rest of this section still does.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be dealt with by the courts of Alberta, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Health Disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and us about the app. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours, for example if the business is sold.
The sections that need to outlive your use of the app do so, including without limitation those covering your content, our intellectual property, the health disclaimer, the "as is" statement, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law.
