Health Disclaimer

Effective August 21, 2026

MyMacroMentor gives you nutrition information and calculated estimates. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Please read this page before you rely on anything the app tells you.

We are not a medical provider

2563529 Alberta Ltd. is not a healthcare provider, and nobody working on MyMacroMentor is your doctor, dietitian or clinician. Nothing the app shows you is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or nutrition care prescribed for your circumstances. It is general information, offered so you can make your own decisions and discuss them with someone qualified.

Your targets are estimates

The calorie and macro targets the app shows you are calculated from published formulas, the statistics you enter, and patterns in what you log. They are estimates of what might suit you, not instructions and not a prescription. Real bodies vary in ways a formula cannot capture, so treat every number the app shows as a starting point to check against how you actually feel and what a professional tells you — not as a fact about your body.

Food and nutrition figures come from public databases and, for the images and descriptions you submit, from automated analysis. They can be incomplete or wrong.

Talk to a professional

Speak with a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional before you make health decisions, before you start or change a diet or exercise routine, and before you act on anything you see in the app. Do that Use MyMacroMentor alongside that advice, never in place of it.

MyMacroMentor is for adults. You need to be at least 18 to use it, as our Terms of Use set out; it is not intended for anyone younger.

Please get professional guidance before using the app if any of the following apply to you, or anything like them:

Eating disorders and disordered eating

Counting calories and weighing food helps some people and harms others. If you have or have ever had an eating disorder, or if you recognise patterns of disordered eating in yourself — restriction, bingeing, purging, compulsive exercise, or preoccupation with numbers, weight or food — please talk to a qualified professional before using MyMacroMentor, and consider whether tracking is right for you at all.

The app cannot detect an eating disorder and does not try to. It will not know if tracking is making things worse for you. Nothing in it is treatment, and no number it displays is a judgement about you or your body.

If you want support, these organizations can help: NEDIC in Canada and the National Eating Disorders Association in the United States.

Not for emergencies

MyMacroMentor is not for urgent or emergency use. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. Never delay getting medical help because of something you read in the app.

Accepting the risk

Changing how you eat carries inherent risks, and you take those risks voluntarily. You are responsible for the choices you make about your own nutrition and health, including choices informed by information from MyMacroMentor. To the extent the law allows, 2563529 Alberta Ltd. is not liable for outcomes arising from your use of the app or from decisions you make based on it.

Agreeing to this disclaimer

By using MyMacroMentor you confirm that you have read this Health Disclaimer, that you understand it, and that you agree to it. It forms part of our Terms of Use. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the app.
